Matt Muse

Matt Muse "Leave Here"

Matt Muse has released a new single called "Leave Here". This new track, his first since 2021, features production from Boathouse.

“'Leave Here’ was birthed from the feelings of self-doubt, insecurity, under-appreciation, and imposter syndrome that I and many other artists feel/have felt throughout this journey toward musical success,” Muse says. “It is an affirmation that despite what may be thrown my way or what others think, I'm not leaving this journey empty handed. I know my worth and what I'm capable of, and this song stands as a constant reminder to myself of that worth and capability. I want this song to be a motivator for anybody in any field that now is not the time to stop. I want others to feel the energy of the beat and confidence of the lyrics and use this song as their anthem to go after every goal and dream that they have their heart set on."

Matt Muse “Shotgun” ft Femdot

Matt Muse has released single called "Shotgun" that features fellow local emcee Femdot. This is a remix of a track from Muse's 2019 album Love & Nappyness that is flushed out by a new verse from Femdot.

The track is accompanied by a video co-directed by Muse, Imaginat, Sensei Shutter and Oluwaseyi Adeleke the features the two emcees and a variety of cars. When asked Muse had this to say about the video; "My vision for the video was to create a mostly performance based visual that highlighted my life-long love for cars. I've always wanted to have a music video with a bunch of nice cars in it, not to look flashy, but because I adore the craftsmanship and detail of luxury vehicles".

Matt Muse “Myself”

Matt Muse has released a video for the track “Myself (Philautia II)” from his recently released EP, Love & Nappyness, that finds himself literally spending time with himself.

Here is how Matt approached the video for one of our favorite tracks from his EP. “The concept of the video is basically me taking the time with Myself to take care of Myself. The version of myself who appears in the beginning is the regular me who needs to take time to work on my insecurities. The second Matt (with the visor and polo) represents the embodiment of the positive traits and characteristics that I struggle to address/big up when I'm down and having low self-esteem. The second Matt is spending the video teaching the regular Matt how to take care of himself (Myself). I directed the video and it was shot by Interwine Productions. I wanted the video to be really funny and fun to watch.”
