Shawn Maxwell "Story at Eleven"

Composer, recording artist and performer, saxophonist Shawn Maxwell is preparing to release his 11th studio album, Story at Eleven, tomorrow, March 24th.

This is the first new music from Maxwell since his 2021 album, Expectation & Experience. For this project he took a slightly different approach, and has composed a long-form piece broken into four distinct movements.

On this album Maxwell is joined by Collin Clauson (Rhodes, Wurlitzer, B-3), Michael Barton (Electric Bass), and Greg Essig (Drums).

Spektral Quartet "Behind the Wallpaper"

Spektral Quartet have released a new album called Behind the Wallpaper via the New York label New Amsterdam Records.

This is work of Theo Espy (violin), Clara Lyon (violin), Doyle Armbrust (viola), and Russell Rolen (cello). For this project they enlisted the help of vocalist Julia Holter and composer Alex Temple.

Brady Matteson "Wavepool"

Dark Ambient artist Brady Matteson is preparing to release his fourth album, Every dream in your head, on March 17th.

He recently released a video for the album's opening track "Wavepool".

Lia Kohl “the moment a zipper”

Cellist, composer, and sound artist Lia Kohl has released a new single, “the moment a zipper”, from her forthcoming album, The Ceiling Reposes, which is due out on March 10th via American Dreams.

You can catch Lia Kohl at Constellation with Macie Stewart on February 18th. The album release event for The Ceiling Reposes will take place at International Museum of Surgical Science on March 10th.
