Poplife "Bad Attitude"

Bruce Jazz trio Poplife released a new single last month called “Bad Attitude”. This is the funky yacht rock of Ben McFadden (Keys, Vocals, Guitar) (aka McFabulous) along with Foul Tip’s Adam Luksetich (Bass) and Ed Bornstein (Drums). For this single, their first in a year, the trio recruited the talented Vivian McConnell (aka V.V. Lightbody) on backing vocals.

Kid Slang “School Days"

Kid Slang recently released their debut EP, "School Days”. The EP blends downtempo instrumental Hip Hop, Jazz, Synth Pop and Funk. The duo gets help from Barclay Moffiit of Heatland Trio on Sax on a track and some smooth vocals from Maïa Aboualiten on a track called “Foreign Exchange".

Vision in the Rhythm @ HVAC Pub (4/20)

Reggae and Funk influenced band of brothers Vision In The Rhythm released their latest single, “Breathe”, last month. This is the band started by brothers Pat Williams (Vocal/Guitar), John Williams (Bass), and Mike Williams (Drums) a few years ago. They are now joined by Tim Williams (Saxophone) and Connor Marks (Guitar).

You can catch Vision in the Rhythm on April 19th at House of Music in Orland Park with The Syndicate, Bongo, and House of Music Rock-Band. They will also be performing on April 20th at HVAC Pub (3530 N. Clark) with The Concrete Roots, Dead Lucid, The Fundamental KiNk, and Chicago Loud 9.

KAINA “Green"

KAINA has released a Jean Deaux directed video for her new single “Green”. The track features production from Sen Morimoto and has the perfect amount of Latin flare to showcase the first generation Latina, KAINA.





Soul'd Out's Tenth Anniversary

The Soul’d Out Music Festival is coming up again this April, and this year will mark its tenth anniversary. We wanted to make sure you’re properly prepared. Starting on April 16th and ending on April 21st, each day is packed full with artists performing all over town. There will be close to 50 artists performing this year, and each act is incredibly talented. Here at the Deli, we want to give a shout out to some of those artists. The legendary Buddy Guy will be playing at The Roseland on April 17th. DJ/MC team Eric B & Rakim will be taking the stage at the Roseland on the 18th. Coming all the way from Brooklyn, rapper Leikeli47 will be playing the Wonder Ballroom on April 18th.
