04.03: LA newcomer Moon Darling to self-release new record "In The Wildwood"

These are uncertain times, and when one has little else to do but stare at their four walls and hope for a better tomorrow, there needs to be some ethereal jams to cut through the thick silence. Fortunately, Moon Darling have come to Los Angeles by way of Seattle with their new record In The Wildwood, which drops on April 3rd.. Dreamy and angular, the songs feature the soaring vocals and guitar mastery of Michael Julian Escobar, who channels Led Zeppelin and Ozzy. The track "Which Way To Go" -- a reworked song from years past -- presents what In The Wildwood has to offer; driving psych rock with hints of disco and rock 'n roll. You'll sway, you'll dance, but overall, while listening to In The Wildwood, you sure won't be bored. Take a listen to "Which Way To Go" now. - Will Sisskind

Alt-pop songstress WENS releases debut EP "Lemoncholy"

Although she has a lengthy independent career behind her, tastemaker and alt-pop songstress WENS has released her major label debut EP Lemoncholy on R&R/Warner Records. Written about the years between 18 and 21 years of age, the songs on Lemoncholy cover confusion, contradiction, love, loss, and fear while coming of age. In these uncertain times, songs about uncertainty seem fitting, especially when set to WENS's catchy pop arrangements. WENS has released several music videos for tracks from Lemoncholy, but a brand new one for "Tongue Tied" is available for you to watch now. - Will Sisskind

Weathers drops new single "Feel Good" for these trying times

Coronavirus keeping you in the house? Show cancellations rocking your music lover heart to the core? Fear not, for not even the crushing despair of self quarantine can keep you from jamming out to Weathers' new single "Feel Good". The alt-rock group just finished their tour with Echosmith -- good timing -- and "Feel Good" captures all of the energy of the band's live show into one synth-filled good vibe torch song. Frontman Cameron Boyer wrote the song as a testament to his search for an escape route from loneliness and despair while on tour in the beginning of last year, and you can feel that drive come through in his voice. If you're looking for a song to get you through this potentially lonely and isolating time, give "Feel Good" a shot; listen to it below. - Will Sisskind
